Fun Design Stuff

Just a couple things I've been working on in my digital fine art class lately. The idea behind this assignment is to use photos, but only for the purpose of making selections to fill with colors, textures, and patterns. No real pixels allowed.


This is what a selection from a photo I took of myself looking into a mirror looks like when it's filled with a pattern.

Then I add a few more things and it looks like this:

Kaleidoscope

For my digital fine art class we were given 30 images, and told to create a collage sort of thing using at least 15. I am attempting to channel a kaleidoscope type of composition here. I'm usually really critical of my work, but I am surprisingly pleased with what I have made for this assignment.
