Favorite Things of The Week
1. I am really into this satchel style cross body bag from Urban Outiftters. I have a passion for varying shades of olive, avocado, and any other slimy/ugly looking green. This bag would be perfect for me during this upcoming school year, since it is large enough to cary around some pens, planner, and external hard drive, while also housing standard purse objects. I always feel like a dork when I have a backpack and purse.
2. This jewelry box was featured on Apartment Therapy during their small cool house contest, in this entry from Louisa. That color is absolutely divine, which has inspired me [to beg Charlie] to sand, repaint, and rehandle my own standing jewelry box, which was looking a little tired in it's dark wood stain. When the project is all done I will post photos.
3. I am all about large curd 4% milkfat cottage cheese lately. That's all there is to say about that.
4. So I know I am sort of a laggard about this Eos lip balm craze, but I finally bought one in the flavor of summer fruit. It smells peachy-fruity delicious, and is not too waxy or sticky on the kisser.
5. Not so secret fact about me, I LOVE mermaids, so anything that reminds me of mermaids is automatically a favorite. So when I saw this post at Cupcakes and Cashmere I was swooning. My local Walgreens didn't have a minty shade in their Essie collection, but I found this alternative from Revlon, called Minted. I don't have the patience or steady hand for the dipped glitter look, so I just went over all of the nails with a clear glitter polish by Wet n Wild. The blurry final result can be seen here. They looked like sparkly decorated cakes.
6. Sriracha. I love sriracha. This stuff is a blessing! I swear I eat it with everything. It goes on pizza, in soup, on pasta, with eggs, the list goes on and on. Pretty much anytime I want something to have slightly more flavor I reach for the rooster imprinted bottle, and all of my flavor worries are soothed. It's MUCH better than average hot sauces, because it has a more layered flavor, with hints of garlic and other things that my unrefined palate can't identify. Some weirdos carry ranch dressing in their purses, and I will become that weirdo who carries sriracha. Go to your store, buy some sriracha, put it on everything, and love your life.

Interesting Tidbit:
The colors of my favorite things this week match up with the colors of my blog, which were picked, because they are my favorite colors. So bananas!
